The World Pantheist Movement's many different lists
have quite different purposes; you will find a complete
guide at: http://www.pantheism.net/communit.htm
It's important to observe these purposes, otherwise all of our lists tend to
become general purpose debate lists about abstract ideas, with no place left
where we can discuss of development, business and other organizational matters.
The Members list is unmoderated. Please remember
that all posts express the ideas and
opinions of individuals and do not reflect the "official" position of the World
Pantheist Movement. As one of our larger lists, with over two hundred list
subscribers, it is easy for just one or two people to initiate confrontational
debate. Please do not take any postings as World Pantheist Movement policy.
The only reliable guide to World Pantheist Movement policy can be found in the
official Web site http://www.pantheism.net/ or in the belief statement.
All of our lists have a one post per person per day rule so as to reduce the
problem of e-mail overload. Personal attacks, foul language and unlawful
material are prohibited in all of our lists. The full rules can be found at:
http://www.pantheism.net/resource.htm
The MEMBERS e-mail list comes with [WPM Full Members] ahead of each post's
subject or the digest number. This list is intended *solely* for the discussion
of matters related to the World Pantheist Movement as an organization: its
plans, services, priorities, complaints, and so on. Its role as a channel for
member participation is very important: feedback is essential for any
organization that wishes to be responsive to its members. If this e-mail list
is used for any other purpose, it may force some people to sign off, which would
prevent them from being involved in discussions about our plans and services and
about the future of the World Pantheist Movement in general; neither would they
be able to vote in polls or elections for the Membership Advisory Council. It
doesn't matter if this list is empty most of the time: it's there for when
members need it.
