Benefits of membership

     The World Pantheist Movement is a rapidly growing community of people who share a common
vision that there need be no separation between religion and realism, spirituality and science.

    If you revere Nature and the Universe, if you respect the evidence of evolving science, if you
view your life on earth as much more than a transit camp to an imaginary heaven, if you are
interested in the rights and welfare of humans and non-humans on this Earth, then you will feel at home
with us. We are a gathering of highly intelligent, lively, awake, aware and caring people, a varied
and vibrant community with members in over 50 countries around the world, and a
growing number of local meetings.

Please note: the WPM is a non-profit corporation registered in the State of Colorado. We are recognized as a charity by the IRS under clause 501(c)3, so if you are a US resident your contributions are tax-deductible. 
MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
  • FULL MEMBERS are those who have paid a subscription, including those who have paid the reduced student rate ($15) or low income rate ($10).
  • INTERMEDIATE MEMBERS are those who have paid the reduced dues of $8.

  • Membership of all our mailing lists & bulletin boards.
  • Networking with other pantheists through our geographical database.

PUBLIC BENEFITS OF MEMBERSHIP

will help:
  • To fund our internet services, magazine production, and promotion of the movement.
  • To promote earth-honoring life-affirming scientific/naturalistic pantheism as a widely available religious option and alternative to traditional religions.
  • To make possible an expanding scientific pantheist presence on the Internet and in other media.
  • To assist in the research and publication of books and other media related to scientific pantheism.
  • To help build up membership in localities and promote the formation of local groups.
  • To support moves towards creating a network of facilitators for pantheist weddings and funerals.

WHAT YOUR REGULAR SUBSCRIPTION MONEY WILL NOT BE SPENT ON
  • Directors' salaries. Directors work on a voluntary basis.
  • Priests' salaries. We are not planning to have a salaried
    priesthood.*
  • Church buildings. We plan on meetings in nature or in members' homes.*
  • We may one day reach a size where we require one or more full-time employees, but this is probably some years down the line from here.
* Very large local groups will be free to decide whether to support celebrants or buildings from local funds, but part-time celebrants and hiring may  be wiser options in most cases.

Additional donations are welcome
The higher levels are not just fancy titles: for example, sustaining and supporting members' contributions are the financial equivalent of our gaining three to eight extra basic members, and significantly increase what we can do at earlier stages than would otherwise be possible.
Larger donations may enable additional significant activities to be undertaken. We are always willing to discuss donations tied to a particular activity.
