The World Pantheist Movement's many different lists have
quite different purposes; you will find a complete guide at:
http://www.pantheism.net/communit.htm
It's important to observe these purposes, otherwise all of our lists tend to
become general purpose debate lists about abstract ideas, with no place left
where we can share our Pantheist experiences and practical thoughts in a
friendly and cooperative way. Here is the description for this list:
"This list is for members of the World Pantheist Movement, for the
sharing of Pantheist experiences, the discussion of problems of
Pantheist living, the creation of ideas for Pantheist ceremonies and
celebrations, and the development of the World Pantheist Movement and
its local groups."
The Community list is unmoderated. Please remember
that all posts express the ideas and
opinions of individuals and do not reflect the "official" position of the World
Pantheist Movement. As one of our larger lists, with over five hundred list
subscribers, it is easy for just one or two people to initiate confrontational
debate. Please do not take any postings as World Pantheist Movement policy.
The only reliable guide to World Pantheist Movement policy can be found in the
official Web site http://www.pantheism.net/ or in the belief statement.
All of our lists have a one post per person per day rule so as to reduce the
problem of e-mail overload. Personal attacks, foul language and unlawful
material are prohibited in all of our lists. The full rules can be found at:
http://www.pantheism.net/resource.htm
The COMMUNITY e-mail list comes with [Pantheist Community] ahead of each post's
subject or the digest number. This list is for exchanging experiences of life
and Nature, for discussing practical issues of Pantheist living, for developing
ways of moving Pantheism and the World Pantheist Movement ahead, for raising
local group matters and so on. PLEASE posting to this list, ask yourself if
this list is the appropriate place for your post. In particular, PLEASE refrain
from launching ideological or political controversy on this list; we have other
lists for that.
